Barry is also an expert in Life Insurance of all forms, as well as Long Term Disability and Long Term care. These products are powerful inducements for employees and an excellent way to maintain equity in the benefit packages presented to employees.

In his own small business experience, Barry learned the value of giving his employees excellent benefits. In the 80s, Barry founded Upside Records with Yale alums Robert Melvin Rubin (Drexel Burnham) and musician Gary Lucas (Captain Beefheart). Upside helped establish the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame credentials of future member Charles Brown and the groundbreaking and influential Arthur Russell among others.

Barry’s entry into the financial services earned a Chairmen’s Council award at the largest New York Life office in the U.S. Because it was important to have access to all products from all companies, Barry now advises numerous small businesses, CPAs, and many Trust and Estate lawyers auditing and evaluating Insurance plans
